Attention to human resources in a corporation is an absolute necessity. Because, no matter how sophisticated technology is used in a corporation and no matter how big amount of corporate capital, employees in the organization are those who will carry out their performance.

Speaking of corporate culture & leadership styles, both have close relationships. Corporate culture & leadership styles focus on the role of human resources in corporate development.

Human element is an important element, because humans always play an active and dominant role in every corporate. Humans are planners, actors, as well as determining the realization of corporate goals. The contribution of humans as employees at a corporation will determine the corporate progress or withdrawal.

Organizational culture requires the introduction of the basic dimensions of corporate culture and their effects on variables related to employees. These variables such as satisfaction, commitment, cohesion, strategy implementation, performance, and others.

Besides that, leadership factors are also one of the determinants of corporate success. Leadership is understood as the power to move and influence people. So, the leader is the party whose task is to form a corporate culture and ensure that corporate culture is formed in accordance with the corporate vision.

Unconsciously, each person in a corporation learns the culture that applies in his corporate. A strong and positive culture is very influential on the behavior and effectiveness of organizational performance. In terms of employees, high employee commitment will have an impact on improving the performance of employees themselves.

Corporate culture has a significant influence on how employees perceive their corporate, their responsibilities and commitments. Leaders influence their subordinates directly through interaction and also through corporate culture.

Organizational culture is the norms and values that direct the behavior of corporate members. Each member will behave in accordance with the prevailing culture, to be accepted by the environment. Organizational culture refers to a system of shared meanings shared by members who distinguish the organization from other organizations.

One of the factors that determine the success of a corporation is the leadership factor. Effective leadership will be able to encourage the motivation of corporate members so that productivity, loyalty and satisfaction of subordinates or corporate members increases.

Leaders in a corporation must understand who the subordinates are led because each individual in the organization cannot be separated from the nature of the cultural values he adheres to. This will later synergize with the overall performance of the organization. Leadership Style is a norm of behavior used by someone when the person tries to influence the behavior of others.

Corporate culture and leadership styles simultaneously and partially have a positive effect on Employee Performance. The success of a leader with a leadership style that is owned will support the formation of an effective leadership style. Decisions taken by a leader have a big influence on the continuity of the activities and development of the company.

A strong culture is the foundation of an organization's performance. If there is a culture that is not conducive in an organization, it might affect employees in carrying out their activities and directly affect the performance of each employee.

When leadership style in a company has not fully implemented participatory management to the grassroots level of staff to grow the right corporate culture, leaders must act immediately. The leader must ensure that the participation of his employees is not limited to the level of the head of the unit up to the top. A leader should not expect the head of the unit to represent his staff. A leader must be able to communicate with all of his employees to the lowest level and instill the right corporate culture.

For this reason, leaders are required to behave charismatically and have positive behaviors that can increase employee loyalty. If the implementation of participatory management is getting better and leader behavior is increasingly positive, then employee performance will increase. For leadership styles to improve employee performance, leadership styles can be improved in several ways:

1) Increasing the application of participatory management by accommodating inputs / suggestions from employees below, as long as the input / proposal is in accordance with the needs and does not conflict with the rules.
2) Increase the charismatic leader through a behavioral / scientific approach.
3) Increase the sense of responsibility of the leader towards the duties and responsibilities carried out, and produce innovative works for corporate progress.

These methods can encourage positive synergies between corporate culture & leadership styles.
